Here are my favourite movies and why I love them and why you should watch them!!!!!

Sound of Noise is a Swedish-French musical comedy crime thriller with an amazing soundtrack and a genuinely intriguing and interesting plot, it's light-hearted and fun and has great humour. Without spoiling, the plot focuses on a detective who was born tone-deaf into a family of musical prodigies and absolutely fucking despises music as a result of that, and ends up having to investigate a spree of weird illegal but mostly harmless musical crimes. This is my favourite movie of all time. It's in Swedish so watch it with subtitles if you don't know Swedish. Please just trust me it's really fucking good

Prey (2022) is a pretty recent installment in the Predator franchise, it's sci-fi action but set in the Great Plains in 1719 and centering around a young Comanche woman. And then ee-yikes the predator shows up!!! But seriously this movie is so good I watched it and then couldn't stop thinking about it so a week later I just watched it again. I can't really explain any more of the plot without spoiling it but just watch it, even if you haven't seen any of the other Predator films it's still going to be enjoyable. It does make some callbacks to the other films especially at the end but overall it interprets the franchise in a really cool and interesting way. The movie is mostly in English with some Comanche interspersed in it, but it does also have a full Comanche dub which is really cool! Very much recommend

Attack The Block is a British sci-fi comedy horror film that follows a group of dumb teenage boys who think they're gangsters and they mug people and stuff but then there's ALIENS ee-yikes! I have watched it many times and it's very funny and silly because it's basically chavs vs aliens, only one of the boys in the group is remotely smart and pretty much every other character in the movie is comic relief. It's kinda spooky at times and there is a fair amount of blood and gore but it never takes itself too seriously and is overall a fun watch. It's kind of similar to Die Hard in that it takes place in a single huge building where everyone is dying and there's police outside who can't get in etc. except it's just a bunch of stupid kids in there.

OK it's been a while since I've watched this movie but it is really really good and it's not listed as comedy but trust me it's comedic. It's a dystopian sci-fi action film about a world where the crime rates in America get so high they need to deploy police robots Robocop-style kinda, except the guy who developed them made an artificially intelligent version and it gets kidnapped by gang members who start raising it as if it were their child? I think at least idk that's all I remember it's been years since I've watched this but just trust me it's really good!!!

Okay if you haven't heard of this movie listen to me very carefully. I watched this movie with no context, my dad just put it on for me one day, and the twist made me lose my shit. This movie is called The World's End and all you need to know about it is that it's about a bunch of old washed up British guys who were childhood friends and they're (reluctantly) meeting back up in their hometown to attempt a pub crawl they failed 23 years earlier. That's all you need to know. It's batshit insane. Don't look up anything about it. Watch.
